CANADA — CANADA, Nov. 20 (UPI) — Canadian citrus company Canaccord Genuity Ltd.
has been canned.
Canaccords new canned citrus product, which is marketed as a natural alternative to artificial colors, is being sold at grocery stores in Ontario and Quebec.
The company, which has a major grocery store chain in Canada, said in a statement that the product is not an ingredient in any of its canned citrus products.
“Canaccord is proud to be the first Canadian company to market canned citrus as a dietary supplement, and it is the first company in North America to do so,” Canaccort, the company’s Canadian subsidiary, said.
“This is a major step forward for Canaccond, as it marks the beginning of the company reaching consumers across Canada.
The canned citrus label will remain available until April 27, 2019.”
Canaccording said it is partnering with local food stores to bring canned citrus to stores in a number of markets, including Calgary, Edmonton, Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal, Ottawa-Gatineau and Quebec City.
The can canards new canard, Canaccos new canned fruit line is slated to be released in April 2019, with more to come.
